Do Not Forget These Verses in Times of Disagreement and Dispute

Many intellectual and practical conflicts arise because people, for various reasons, fail to grasp a single, objective truth. However, on the Day of Resurrection, when the veils are lifted, the absolute truth will become manifest. God, as the All-Knowing, will make known to everyone not only the consequences of these disagreements but also the intentions and hidden dimensions underlying every opinion and action.

Hawzah News Agency | Almighty God says in the Holy Qur’an:

«إِلَی اللَّهِ مَرْجِعُکُمْ جَمِیعًا فَیُنَبِّئُکُمْ بِمَا کُنْتُمْ فِیهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ.»

“To Allah shall be the return of you all, whereat He will inform you concerning that about which you used to differ.” (Ma'idah; 5:48)

«اللَّهُ یَحْکُمُ بَیْنَکُمْ یَوْمَ الْقِیَامَةِ فِیمَا کُنْتُمْ فِیهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ.»

“Allah will judge between you on the Day of Resurrection concerning that about which you used to differ.”(Haj; 22:69)

Explanation:
From beginning to end, human life has been a vast arena for the exchange of opinions and disagreements in understanding the truth. These differences have sometimes led to division and, at other times, to conflict. Amid this confusion, the revealed word of God points humanity firmly towards one ultimate truth: “Returning to the Lord.”

Many intellectual and practical conflicts arise because people, for various reasons, fail to grasp a single, objective truth. Yet, on the Day of Resurrection, when the veils are lifted, the absolute truth will become manifest. God, as the All-Knowing, will reveal to everyone not only the consequences of these disagreements but also the intentions and hidden dimensions underlying every opinion and action.

This act of making things known is, in essence, the final judgment. God will demonstrate which groups sincerely sought the truth and which were led astray from the right path by their own desires or prejudices.

These verses call upon us to exercise intellectual and practical humility. Although striving to discover the truth is a religious obligation, a believer knows that the final judgment does not rest in human hands. This conviction prevents individuals from regarding their personal views as absolute truths or imposing them upon others. Instead, it keeps the door open to dialogue and tolerance.

These verses also reassure us that no effort made to attain the truth—whether in the realm of knowledge or in the realm of action—will ever be lost in the sight of the Lord. Even if the outcomes of such a quest are not acknowledged or accepted in this world, their true worth will become evident on the Day of Resurrection.

Furthermore, for those who use disagreement as a means of creating division and separation, these verses serve as a serious warning: a day will come when their intentions are exposed, and in the Divine Presence, they will have to answer for the divisions and rifts they have created within the people.
